
Alhamdulillah, ArRayhan International School celebrates with Abdul Yasir Garba for emerging third world youngest humanitarian as declared by the World Humanitarian Forum, WHF, in London.
Abdul emerged third out of a pool of 238 applications from youths in around 39 countries of the world.
As the first young person to ever attract the WHF honor in Nigeria as a whole, Abdul came runner ups to a young female Indonesian Humanitarian, Desi Yunsari and a Young Afghan Subrab Samin who emerged first and second respectively out of six shortlisted applicants.
World Humanitarian Forum (WHF) is the largest and most inclusive nonpartisan forum in humanitarian aid and international development.
WHF brings together decision-makers and opinion-formers in the public, private and non-profit sectors, as well as the next generation of partnership-builders. The annual WHF advances critical global discussions and transforms conversations into action, as well as providing a powerful forum to catalyse collaboration through shared-value approaches and social impact objectives.
Born on 9th September 2002 to a Fulani family in Gwagwarwa Nassarawa LGA of Kano State, Northern Nigeria, Abdul attended Benevolent Academy for Primary Education and subsequently Arrayhan International School.
Abdul Yasir’s Humanitarian works Started when he was 14 years old when he formed an Organisation with some friends and neighbors aimed a creating public Awareness within his community about what Almajiri children are facing in the society.
With strong support from his parents, his efforts began to take shape and his works started to transcend community to International level.
While on the Journey, some of his friends gave up along the line while some stated with him.
